I am not sure how to review this book. I liked it but it was not one of Jay's best books. It was too short!!. It was cute, entertaining with the elements of insta-love and gay for you theme. I did not feel the connection between Mike and Roger; but as a short read, it was entertaining. In my mind I see Roger as slightly overweight, balding, lonely older man who drinks heavily; like Otis on the Andy Griffith show. Mike as a younger, lonely and sexually confused.Roger convinces Mike to meet with the "gang"for Karaoke the next evening. The gang consists of Roger and 2 other people. Plus Roger is already intoxicated. I have enjoyed all of the Jay's books in the past but this one fell short for me. I believe it was because it was TOO SHORT!. I have to admit the subject matter of drinking to excess touches my buttons and most likely colored my review. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a quick sweet read with a HFN with the possibility of HEA.

Yours was a very romantic and fun short story. I think Roger and Mikey's relationship is interesting. I love the bar theme. You did a really great jod with this story Jay keep up the awesome work. Hope there are more people who read this story. Love it

If your looking for something sweet and ahort this is your book. It's a first time gay experience book with insta like and love. Sweet but short. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unniased review.
This short and simple story was about Mike and how he met Roger. They become friends. Friends who try out new things together.
Roger is very interested in Mikey and they quickly escalate from being just friends. My only complaint, really if you can call it that, is that the story was so fast and so short.

Easy going introvert Mike is a bartender at The Warehouse and on a relatively normal shift he meets Roger greatly enjoying the Happy Hour drinks. He accepts/is pushed to accepting an invite to sing at karaoke night. This story is a fun short read to get your day started right or a perfect end to a day in bed with your significant other.

This is good. It's enticing. But, complaints first IT'S TOO SHORT!!! This could and should be developed more. It feels very much like I've only read a couple of highlights from a book. What's Roger's past, that has made him so drink-needy? The usual answer is a relationship ending, but there was no discussion, no answer. Unsolved mystery, just like the old show. If Mike is so awkward at karaoke about not being gay, how is he all of a sudden willing and comfortable and eager to get to smexy-times almost a week later? And I want to know if it is HEA or HFN, and hopefully not just a roll in the hay.
Overall, the complaint list and compliment list are the same it was good, but I want more.

Great writer and a fine book.
Much of the details felt like page fillers. Not really relevant nor necessary. I think that the author is very detailed and wants to make sure we see what he sees.
